ON STAGE: The Kent Hickey Duo

Kent Hickey is a dynamic jazz trumpeter and educator based in Indianapolis, known for his work as a bandleader, composer, and collaborator. A graduate of Butler University and Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, he leads the acclaimed Hickey‑Shanafelt 9ollective and performs regularly with his trio and organ quartet. Kent is also a passionate educator, teaching at Butler University and the University of Indianapolis.
